EVEREST 3 PASS TREK
EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDED FOR THE TREK
Not many people are used to walking (or breathing) thousands of meters over sea level. Thus, for a stress free and successful trekking trip, we recommend the following packing list for you. Remember, this is just a guideline. But we do strongly recommend these items as a most.
Upper Body (above hips)
- 1 Hat or scarf (preferably large to protect your face from the sun)
- 1 Fleece hat or balaclava to protect your head
- 1 Sunglasses with UV protection is recommended
- 2 T-shirts
- 2 Light weight thermal tops
- 1 Fleece jacket or pullover
- 1 Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional)
- 1 Waterproof shell jacket for snow fall
- 1 Down vest/jacket*
- 2 Gloves (Lightweight and heavyweight) Or Mittens (Waterproof)
Lower Body:
- 2 Hiking shorts
- 2 Under Attires
- 1 Long Lightweight cotton khakis
- 1 Light and expedition weight thermal bottoms
- 1 Waterproof shell pants
- 2 Thin, lightweight inner socks
- 2 Thick, warm wool hiking socks
- 1 Hiking boots with spare laces
- 1 Camp shoes (sneakers and/or sandals)
- 1 Gaiters for hiking in winter to the base camp
Accessories:
- 1 Sleeping bag rated to zero Degree *
- 1 Trekking Bags/Duffel bag *
- Basic First Aid Kit (Optional: The company will provide it)
- Large air tight plastic bags – for keeping items dry inside trek bag
- 1 Daypack (approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches)
- 1 set of Trekking Poles
- 2 Water bottle or camel bag
- Toiletries (Small wash towel, Toilet papers etc)
- Ear Plug (For unwanted noise if any during nights)
Toiletries:
- 1 medium sized quick drying towel
- 1 Tooth brush/paste (biodegradable recommended)
- Multipurpose soap (biodegradable recommended)
- Deodorants
- Nail clippers
- Face and body moisturizer
- Feminine hygiene products
- Small mirror
- Wet wipes (baby wipes)
- Tissue /toilet roll
- Anti-bacterial hands wash

- Binoculars
- Trail Map/Guide book
- Journal & Pen
- Pencils and small notebooks
- Travel game i.e. chess, backgammon, scrabble
- Swim suit if the trek includes stay at hotels in Kathmandu
